Remembering the true objective to give a clear headway in the
region the beginning of the board of trustees was viewed as and Ladakh
Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) was constituted in 1995. The
chamber has 30 councilors, out of which 4 are alloted and rest are picked. The
Chief Executive Councilor heads this chamber. He is furthermore the Chairman of
the board.
